Marble Collegiate Church

About Us

A welcoming spiritual home for the people of New York City

Under the leadership of Dr. Michael B. Brown, Marble Collegiate Church provides dynamic, positive spiritual direction to a diverse and embracing congregation. Sunday worship is at 11am, with a broad range of programming throughout the week. Check out the calendar for a complete schedule of activities.

With a ministry beginning in 1628, Marble Church's current structure was built in 1854 and served as the base from which Dr. Arthur Caliandro and Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, one of the greatest religious figures of the 20th Century, launched far-reaching innovations in practical Christianity. It was here that "The Power of Positive Thinking" was born.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Sunday Worship is the heart of the Marble Church community. It is where we all gather to sing, pray, and be changed by an encounter with God. Our 900 seat sanctuary is typically filled to capacity and each person in worship is lifted by so many people making a joyful noise, or sitting together in silent prayer. Marble is known throughout the world for the practical, powerful, life-changing messages that are preached on Sundays. Our choirs glorify God and make every heart sing with the beauty of their music.

What is the community like?
We are an inclusive community led by the spirit of Christ in creating an atmosphere where miracles of change and growth take place, inspiring a faith which helps overcome the adversities of life, and empowering each to become the light of Christ in the world. Marble Collegiate Church's denominational affiliation is with the Reformed Church in America.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Jesus Christ invited people to be his friends and join his mission. Whether you have little or no experience in the Christian faith, or are well traveled on your journey, it is in this spirit that you are invited to consider membership at Marble Collegiate Church, one of America's most historic and dynamic spiritual communities.
