What are services like?
We are a community of believers that celebrates the traditions of the past and explores the contemporary realm as well as we support two worship styles. We work hard to be friendly and welcoming. God is with us and at work through us as well.

We are an inter-generational fellowship of believers. We work to celebrate the God we love and who loves us. We strive to continue growing in our faith through study of the scriptures and intentional fellowship.

We would love to help you encounter the living God and to find out just how much God loves you right now.

Michael DeKraai

Michael DeKraai

Pastor Mike DeKraai became the tenth pastor called to serve Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church on February 1, 2007. He brings a passion for God, God's Word and God's people. Having been an elementary school teacher, he brings a love for children of all ages.On June 10, 1990, Pastor Mike was ordained in his home congregation, First Lutheran Church in Brookings, South Dakota. Before coming to Holy Cross, he served as Associate Minister to Single Adults and Pastoral Care of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longview, Washington for more than 10 years, from 1988-1999. His second call was to Big Grove-Crow River Lutheran Parish of Belgrade, Minnesota, serving there from 1999-2007.
