Tom Steere
Tom was saved at age 10 when he memorized John 3:16 for a church Christmas program and believed it. God used ordinary working men, particularly a meat cutter, a retired lumberjack, and a ceramic engineering professor, all of whom were excellent Bible teachers, to instill in him a love for the Word of God. He loves to study the scriptures and to pass on what the Lord has taught him.Location & Directions

This non-denomination regularly-assembly of regenerated servants of the Messiah was the basis of my understanding of how Jesus saves humans from God’s wrath when they have ignored His offering of reconciliation. That was back more than fifty years ago, when my presence in Alfred University was to obtain a doctorate degree in the science of ceramic materials and processes. I am so glad to hear that this outpost of the Heavenly Church of The Firstborn is still active and well!
My date of new birth in the Spirit was May 24, 1971; and Alfred Assembly of Christians set the example of how to proceed from that date of rebirth into a life of maturing to overcome the world’s wickedness and its god, the Wicked One. This autonomous outpost of Bible-preaching life in The Messiah has helped prepare me for a life, like theirs, of His mastery as another Herald of the Gospel which can be summed up in two word,: a Person, and a Process:
