Steve Dygert
I am the pastor at Almond Union. I love Jesus, and I love serving Him in the local church. I strive to put the gospel message, the good news about Jesus, into everyday language so everyone can understand, and come to love, the Jesus I love. BASIC STUFF: I am married to my best friend, Sandy. We met right after I started college, she was in our youth group when I came back for my first break. Something clicked, and we're celebrating 30 years this year! Ministry is second career for me. Well actually, maybe more like a third or fourth career. I guess I looked at a lot of things while God was calling me to ministry. I wish I could say I was obedient right away, but truth is, I wanted money and time and a lot of things that just weren’t consistent with ministry. I don't know if you've noticed this in your life or not, but I've noticed that when there is a hole in your heart that only God can fill, only obedience will fill that hole, and you find out that you’re not happy doing anything else. After nearly twenty years in insurance, I finally accepted God’s call to ministry. While there are good days and not so good days, I know I could never be happy doing anything else.Location & Directions
