West Pines Baptist Church exists to:
~ lead people to Christ through evangelizing the spiritually lost,
~ bring people into fellowship with Jesus Christ and His people,
~ assist people in their quest for being a better disciple of Christ,
~ and equip people to minister in their areas of giftedness and to worship Christ, the risen and living Lord in all aspects of life.

West Pines Baptist Church desires to assist people in their spiritual lives by encouraging them to "Love God and Love people." Through our worship, discipleship, fellowship, ministry and evangelism, I believe you will, through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, be changed to love God and people more. Paul Sorber

Pastor Paul Sorber grew up in upstate New York as the youngest of six children. He was blessed to be part of a family that loved the Lord and served Him in various ministries in the local church. Paul attended Baptist Bible College and Seminary as well as Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He holds a Master Degree in ministry and looks forward to, one day, completing his doctorate. Paul is married to Brenda, his former high school sweetheart and God has blessed them with four awesome children – Jordan, Heidi, Ben, and Kimberlee. Pastor’s interests outside of his family and ministry involve various sports and classic cars (especially his 1968 Olds Cutlass convertible), and great relationships with friends. He has served in local churches in Pennsylvania and Ohio before moving to Florida. Sinse 1996, he has ministered at West Pines Baptist Church in Lake Worth, Florida, and has enjoyed seeing God do some amazing things. Even with all he has accomplished, Paul still believes the best day for this church are still ahead. The priorities for Pastor Paul’s ministry at West Pines involve people, preaching and planning.

    I love how focused this church is in edifying and equipping the saints to grow in knowledge and serve in local mission/ evangelism and global missions. Always with a biblical world view. The teaching is biblical ( scripture, not opinion), always expounding God’s word, leaving nothing out and offering a variety of studies throughout the week where you can connect with others and continue making progress. The messages preached always give you more than just spiritual milk, no “gospel lite” here. The pastors do a good job of shepherding the people and getting to know them. They’re very open, approachable and genuine. Good crowd too; salt of the earth type people. A nice diverse community of Different age groups and ethnicities. You won’t be a stranger long here.
