Larry Sykes
Pastor Larry Sykes has served as Senior Pastor and Teaching Elder at the Church at Lake Forest for more than 23 years. He and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 41 years and have one son, Christopher, who is the Children’s Pastor at Church by the Glades in Coral Springs, Florida. Chris and his wife, Stephanie, have blessed them with four grandchildren, Grayson, Caitlyn, Campbell, & George. Pastor Larry is a graduate of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Germantown, TN and Reformed Seminary in Clinton, MS. At age 60, Larry sees ministry taking a new turn–one that is exciting and full of opportunity. He loves to preach, teach, and play lead guitar in the praise band, CrossEffect. His passion for the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word is evident in his personable pulpit demeanor and his direct approach to everything in life shows that he is a real, live, approachable believer dedicated to helping others walk with God.Location & Directions
