What are services like?
“What time does the service start?” The Chapel’s Celebration Service begins at 10:30AM. People generally begin to arrive around 10:00AM. “Why is it called a Celebration Service?” We are here to celebrate the joy of our relationship with God through His son Jesus. We do this by building healthy relationships with others, by singing songs of love and praise to God and by serving one another in different areas of ministry. “What is this coffee break that I’ve heard about?” That’s know as our “Friendship Stretch.” At the end of the service, the adults will enjoy a 10 or 15 minute time to have a cup of coffee or tea and a cookie or two. This is a great time to visit with others and make new friends at the Chapel before picking up their children at 11:30. “Are there any programs for my kids?” YES! We have great programs for all the kids. Your nursery/pre-schoolers will enjoy a room for parents to hang out with others. 1st through 5th graders love the Chapel Kids Club which begins at approximately 10:45AM. Your Jr. High and High Schoolers are growing in faith and fun with our Youth Groups that meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM.

What is the community like?
Our Pursuit We believe that God has placed a call on our lives, and we strive to live out that call by being people who serve one another and prepare others for service. We are people who worship our Creator because we believe He is worthy. We strive to be people of integrity as we allow Christ to live through us. We believe that God provides healing in all aspects of our lives. We choose to surrender to God and allow Him to transform us into the people He created us to be. We pursue healthy relationships because we believe relationships are at the center of who God is.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Our Pastor Pastor David Brown has a passion for the people of Troutdale and east Multnomah county. He and his wife, Donna, began their planning of The Chapel as an extension of East Hill Church of Gresham in 1994. In 1997 The Chapel was born and many families have come to call The Chapel their home. Our People The people at the Chapel come from a varying background of church experience. Some have grown up in the church setting, while others discovered their calling as adults. Some are just now investigating the claims of Christ. We are all just regular people seeking healthy relationships and God’s truth in a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Our Purpose The Chapel’s call is to find the lost, bring healing to those who are in need and send into ministry those with a desire to serve. Our mission is to have a small-community feel, offering a safe haven for those either new to the church or looking for lasting friendships that will enable you to enjoy a happy, fulfilling life in Christ.
