My name is Steve Parker. Born 1977 in Brunswick, GA. I grew up in church thanks to the bus ministry and following that my parent getting saved and coming to know the Lord. Always went to church, but did not get saved until Jan 19, 1992 at the age of 15. That summer, our youth group went to camp. There I surrendered to be a preacher of the gospel. In 1995 finished high school and the month following got married. We quickly moved to Knoxville, TN where I attended Crown College. While there my wife became burdened for the deaf through a class she attended at the college. The Lord then closed to door at Crown and we became apart of Community Baptist Church. There, I began to receive full knowledge of the ins and outs of a church. My wife started a deaf ministry. Every time we went anywhere I would point out all the deaf people reminding her "she" needed to reach them. In 2000, I finished college and started asking the Lord what He wanted us to do. In 2004, Fred Adams came to our church and God used him to burden my heart for the deaf. In 2005 we started deputation to raise support to start deaf churches wherever God wanted us to go. To make a long story short, in 2007 we moved to Austin, TX to start our 1st deaf church. At the present, we have had our ups and downs but its been a great ride!! We have seen souls saved and we have seen souls get on fire for the Lord! There will be people who were once deaf, that I personally know, in heaven and I thank God for the privilege of allowing me to be apart!Location & Directions
