About Us

A wonderful family, people friendly Church

St. Mark's is a historic South Shore Parish with a Norwegian Stave designed building by Richard Morris Hunt, as a gift by WK Vanderbilt. It was rebuilt after a tragic fire in 1989.

We have a vibrant and diverse congregation that is active and growing.

You are most welcome to come and join us for worship or for any of our ministries.

Sunday at 8:00am has an opening hymn and continues with our most tradition Anglican language Mass. Sunday at 9:15am we offer a full sung mass with choir, in rite 2 contemporary english. We are not fussy with our liturgy, and family and people friendly.

What is the community like?
The hamlet of Islip is and old bay fishing village, now apart of the subburban South shore of Long Island. We love the ocean, the beach, and having New York City a train ride away.

What if I'm not a Christian?
we are Christians in the Anglican Episcopal tradition. We are welcoming to all who wish to visit, or parisipate in the life and joy of our community.
