What to Expect

What are services like?
Episcopalians are a Protestant denomination influenced by the Reformation, yet our worship and doctrine derive from the original “catholic and apostolic” church. St. Mark's 10:30 AM Sunday service draws on the ancient Episcopal tradition, and, at the same time, is current and relevant to what is happening in our world. Our amazing choir, led by the multi-talented Dr. Gregory Crowell, sings a broad repertoire of choral music, always keeping sight of its Anglican heritage. Our 8 AM Sunday service is quieter and more relaxed. Our Tuesday Communion/Healing service and our Daily Prayer services are also more casual.

What is the community like?
The people who make up St. Mark's are friendly and welcoming. Whether you wish to remain at the community's edge to "test the waters," or want to dive in and join one of our ministries right away, we respect who you are. To serve young families, our nursery is available for infants - 2 year olds, from 9:30 AM on Sundays. Children's Christian Formation begins at 10:25 AM Sundays for 3 year olds and up. Also, the church and parish hall are wheelchair accessible.

What if I'm not a Christian?
All are welcome! No pressure to join. Feel free to test the waters and explore.

I love the worship. The music transports me. But the best thing about St. Mark's is the people. They care not only for one another, but also for the wider community.

The building is historic, the music is amazing, but it's the people that makes St. Mark's such a wonderful place to worship.
