St. Mark Presbyterian Church Newport Beach is a community that celebrates the joy and justice of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether we are lifting our voices in worship or lifting our voices in advocating for the most vulnerable around us, we try to reflect the God who is made known to us as Jesus sits with outcasts and touches those who were considered untouchable.

Mark Davis

Ordained in 1996, Mark holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Theology, Ethics and Culture from the University of Iowa and a Doctor of Ministry from Union Presbyterian Seminary in Virginia. He is the author of two books: “Talking About Evangelism,” (May 2006), and “Left Behind and Loving It (Fall 2011), and he blogs intensive Bible studies regularly at http://leftbehindandlovingit.blogspot.com. Mark is also a monthly contributor to The Politics of Scripture blog at http://www.politicaltheology.com/blog/. Mark is a jazz saxophonist and vocalist with "Synerjazz," our Saturday evening worship combo.
