We don't care what you wear, what you've done or where you've been. We're not perfect but purposeful. We need Christ and that conviction leads us closer to Him. We're passionate, real, and serious about getting to know God.

RUSH wants to make its impact for Christ and watch the wake of the Gospel message bring spiritual awakening. Even though you may have every basic need met and even to abundance, if you don't have Jesus you have nothing. It starts with an encounter with God.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our new facility in Boardman on Glenwood has been a great adventure. We greet you with a smile and desire that you feel at home. We start with prayer at 9:45am then our music team will begin the event at 10am. It is very important that we apply what the Word of God is teaching us. We want every person equipped and commissioned for Jesus. We believe in the The Great Commission of Jesus which teaches us to go and make disciples of all nations. We support over a number of local and foreign missions projects.

What is the community like?
The community of Boardman is down to earth, puts family first, and offers all that you will need. We have just moved recently from Canfield and are getting the know our new neighbors. We desire to serve this community well.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Many people are searching for truth, the meaning of life, reasons for premature sickness or death, and many more thought provoking issues. Often the world around us leaves us void of answers. Not everyone who attend church these days know the church’s mission. We need to demonstrate God’s love to all. Please come as you are. We are not here to impress you but to embrace you. We are growing together on this journey of life. I know for a fact that this journey with Christ has so much more to offer.

I was called into full time ministry after a career in electronics. I graduated as an Electronic Engineer in 1983, worked at Hewlett Packard for 12 years, and then went in a new direction. I felt the calling to go into ministry in 1997 and went back to school the same year I got married to my beautiful wife Jill. I started serving as a youth pastor in 2002 and then stepped out to church plant in June 2008. Rush church was birthed and the doors opened in July 2009. I have two wonderful children born in 2001 and 2005. Children have given me a new outlook on my Father's Love.

    This church is an extension of God's love for everyone. The pastors and staff go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and loved. The worship is focused, energetic and powerful led by Pastor Jill and a wonderful group of singers and musicians, the Word is brought in truth by Pastor James digging deep into the Bible and applying the knowledge to everyday life. The assistant Pastors who lead the kids, youth and other ministries are fully devoted to serving and teaching. This is a great church for families or anyone looking to learn more about Jesus our Savior. Come Visit!!

    I have visited the church for a few weeks and what stands out to me is the freedom to worship in the Spirit. You can sense the Spirit of God as soon as you walk in the doors. I attribute this to the Holy Spirit obviously but, also to the servant-leadership of Pastor Jim and his wife Jill. If you are looking for a church that is welcoming, loving and one where the Word is preached passionately and unapologetically then I couldn’t recommend Rush Church highly enough.
