Resurrection Brooklyn Heights

Celebrating Christ - Serving Brooklyn

Who We Are

Resurrection Brooklyn Heights is a new Christian community forming in Brooklyn, and we are rooted in the belief that the historic Christian gospel is true, compelling, and transformative. We are a collection of people from all walks and stages of life. Our stories, backgrounds, and interests are varied. But we are held together by one common bond:
We believe that God’s grace in Jesus is the key that unlocks all of life.
So wherever you are on your spiritual journey — whether you are committed to following Jesus Christ, are skeptical, or are just mildly curious about Christianity — we welcome you.

Church Leader

Michael Subracko

Michael, with his wife, Susan, leapt at the opportunity to organize a new Resurrection Brooklyn congregation in Brooklyn Heights. They are working to help build and shape a community that is thoughtfully and intentionally invested in Brooklyn –– a church for its community that shares its hopes, needs, and questions. Michael, an ordained Presbyterian minister, holds a graduate degree in theology and served for nearly a decade at Grace Church Seattle. He is a fan of eating good meals, running long distances, and reading. Michael and Susan have two little boys and live, work, and play in Brooklyn Heights. They are excited to see a new church start in this neighborhood. Serving with others, they hope to build a community that offers and enjoys friendship, provides an opportunity for others to ask real and hard questions about life and God, experiences individual and corporate transformations, and makes Brooklyn a better place.
