Who We Are

Liberty Church is a Christian community with the audacity to believe that, through God’s grace, we can influence cities that influence the world. We are a people united in faith, building a community, not a crowd. We believe that the power of God changes lives, that changed lives change the world, and that change expresses itself in compassion and action as we serve our city, our nation and beyond. Our “2020 Vision” is to impact 10 communities by the year 2020 through life-giving local churches. As of 2014, Liberty has church communities in Lower Manhattan, Union Square, Brooklyn and Zimbabwe. It is our hope that each church community reflects the diversity of the communities where we are planted – from every tribe, tongue and generation. And in it all our great ambition is for unity in the Church, that we’d stand shoulder to shoulder with other churches under the one name, Jesus Christ.

Our Services

What are services like?
During the service, guests can expect a friendly atmosphere and a real sense of community, with heartfelt worship music and bible-based teaching for everyday living. Join the team in the lounge before and after the service for coffee, tea, light refreshments and good conversation. Liberty Church places a huge value on family and the generations, including its dynamic Liberty Kids program, which will run concurrent to the services.

What is the community like?
“Liberty Church Brooklyn is a church for the young and the old, the believers and the skeptics. It’s a church for everyone – for Brooklyn,” says Paul Andrew, Lead Pastor of Liberty Church. “We’re believing to stand with other churches in this community, and help Brooklyn reclaim the title that it once held as ‘The City of Churches.’”

What if I'm not a Christian?
Everyone is welcome.

Paul & Andi Andrew

Paul & Andi Andrew

Pastor Paul Andrew – Lead Pastor Paul was born and raised in Sydney, Australia and gave his life to Jesus at age 16. Since then his passion has been the local church. More than two decades of full-time ministry have spanned church, government and community-based organizations. In 2008, Paul launched his own business called The Leadership Coach, and in his spare time he continues to work around the world in the corporate sector as a professional speaker and management consultant. Today as Lead Pastor of Liberty Church with Andi he also serves as a coach for the Association of Related Churches, helping others launch new churches especially in urban centers and the northeast. Pastor Andi Andrew – Lead Pastor Andi grew up in Spokane, Washington and met Paul in Bible college in Australia. She truly is an outstanding and sought-after preacher and carries the leadership of Liberty Church together with Paul. Andi’s years of ministry have shaped her with a passion to see people experience real freedom and it’s little wonder her leadership and ministry have such a lasting impact. As well as building the church, she’s blessed with four incredible kids…three boys and a little princess. They’re not the normal New York family but they’re convinced normal is over-rated anyway.
