What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services are not very formal with a contemporary style of worship that moves from energetic praise to prayerful worship. We share in communion at least twice a month. The larger Body of Christ is a high value so we like to hear almost every week from a person in the congregation or about regional event. Following a solid message from the Bible, we offer a time for prayer and/or personal ministry. At 10:30 and again at the close of the second service, we serve wonderful pastries from Panera each week with coffee etc... the services are about 90 minutes (with a little window to catch a second cup of coffee or pastry to bring to your seat) . No legalism on snacks--we are FOR THEM!

What is the community like?
Our fellowship is like "the Christmas Song" --from 2 to 92 (almost). We have brand new babies, expectant moms and folks who attend each week who are 87 years old. We have a growing number of young married couples, and working singles who plan hiking adventures, Superbowl parties, and Turkey Bowl Football. There is a solid percentage of folks who are retired and have planned garden hikes, wood carving and rocking babies. There is a strong international flavor due to the large percentage of international students who attend. It makes for a great pot luck which we try to have as often as possible! We serve on projects each year in the city of Buffalo and have taken missions trips to Buffalo, NYC, New Jersey, and Florida to assist in storm damage.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We are definitely a Christian church, but have a consistent group of folks who attend because they have questions, have a friend who attends or like the snacks! It is no pressure--we all come as we are!
