About Us

Branching Out...Growing Deep

The Vine is a church with a solid, traditional, historic foundation and relevant approaches to ministry. We like to think of it as a place where the atmosphere is relaxed, the people are real, and the faith is relevant. For many, the faith in God they knew growing up has been awakened with a vital present connection with Jesus today. For others, the Vine is a place where God has become real and central to their lives like never before.

What to Expect

What are services like?
The Service Our service begins at 9:30AM & 11:00 AM and runs for approximately 60 minutes. Our worship team consists of a full band. Our music is contemporary and leads us into a heart of worship. We normally take communion together once a month. We do not take an offering during the service; offering boxes are available at the back of the sanctuary where you may leave your tithes and offerings on the way out of the sanctuary. Children are welcome to join parents during the worship service or they may join their peers in age-appropriate children’s ministry in the lower level. We offer quality children’s programming for all children birth through 5th grade. You may sign your child in at the registration table and our Team Leader will introduce you to your child’s teacher. You will recive a number when you sign your child in, and if you are needed during the service, that number will appear on the box in the front of the sanctuary. This assures our parents we can reach them whenever they are needed. You know your children are safe as they learn about God. Children are divided into age-appropriate classes to do an age-appropriate lesson, crafts and engage in small group activities. All workers are carefully screened, including background checks.

What is the community like?
Our Journey… How did we get here? The Vine Wesleyan Church started in Lancaster on March 20, 2005. We are a strategic new church-start of Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church and The Western New York District of the Wesleyan Church. In 2001, God gave Eastern Hills a dream to begin another congregation in the Western New York region. After a couple of years of prayer and planning, Christopher and Tammy Baldwin were selected and began work on the church in June of 2004. The Vine is a church that is in the Lancaster/Depew area, specifically for those communities. Our desire is to become a vital member of the community, making a difference in many lives and families in the area. On Sundays, there are about 200 people that gather. We are a community of faith large enough to do significant ministry, while not so large that people are lost in the crowd.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Our atmosphere is relaxed and dress is casual. We encourage you to “come as you are”.
