Mount Zion has served the Highland community for over 150 years. It is a community of faith that is first and foremost about serving. Looking for a community that is interested in mission, this is the place to be! We worship God through two different styles: traditional at 8:30 and 9:45 and contemporary at 11am.

What are services like?
8:30 and 9:45 Services are traditional in format. the 11 am service is contemporary.

What is the community like?
Mount Zion sits in a beautiful setting with farms on one side and single family homes on the other. Just down the road from a the planned community Maplelawn, Mount Zion has been an essential presence for over 150 years.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Here you will find a welcoming community of faith that is intent on sharing the love of Jesus in a non judgmental manner. Here you will be welcomed to join us on a journey of faith.

Malcolm Stranathan

Pastor Malcolm sees his primary mission in life to draw people closer to Jesus Christ. A graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary, Pastor Malcolm has served at three other communities of faith throughout the Baltimore Washington Conference of United Methodist Churches.
