About Us
Mission: A community of hope in New York City that radically lives, performs and proclaims ‘The Way’ of Jesus Christ.
What is the the way/good news of Christ: The gospel is the work of God to restore humans to union with God and communion with others, in the context of community, for the good of others and the world.
Vision: Metro Hope will witness a people restored to union with God, transformed by rhythms of grace experienced in radical community, with neighborhoods woven together by the shalom of Jesus Christ, leading to spiritual renewal in the personal, social, economic and cultural fabric of New York City and beyond.

Jose Humphreys
I’m a life-long New Yorker who loves the city. I love eating at some of our local bistros, reading, writing and photography. As a pastor in a busy city my commitment to the gospel, and our church, is embodied through “shalom-making”. Practically this happens through us learning the ‘unforced rhythms of grace’ through contemplation, bridging racial divides through conversation, and becoming more like Christ (spiritual maturity) as we journey together in community.Location & Directions
