Who We Are

NO PERFECT PEOPLE ALLOWED!

Mesilla Park Community Church is striving to become a community of real people, growing in real faith in Jesus Christ and meeting the real needs of others.

Notice the emphasis on "real." Most of us have been part of churches where people are anything but real - to keep up appearances we have hidden behind masks and kept others from seeing our struggles and doubts - which only keeps us from real growth and change. We have also been guilty of leaving our faith at church and giving little thought to how God wants us to live the rest of the week. We are a work in progress, but our desire is to get beyond this and learn to live out our faith authentically, seven days a week.

We often say, "Mesilla Park Community Church is filled with nothing but hypocrites." Not a great selling point, until you realize that a hypocrite is a person who has higher standards than he is living. Our standards are the Bible and Jesus Christ - so, of course, we fall short of living them out consistently. We aren't proud of this, but it is reality. We are also not content with it. So, tempered by the same grace that motivated Christ to die on the cross for sinners like us, we encourage and challenge each other to live lives that honor Him and are a blessing to those around us.

If you are tired of Sunday-only faith that is only skin deep, give us a try!

Our Services

What are services like?
We have a different service style for everyone! SNL (Saturday Night Life) @ 6:00 pm Saturday is a very casual and very contemporary service. This service is primarily geared towards college student and young adults/families. The music is very contemporary and a free dinner is served after the service. (Childcare is provided for ages birth - 5th grade through our SonTown Children's Ministry) Sunday Services include: Cafe Real @ 8:15 on Sunday morning is a very casual service, the music is acoustic and tends to include more hymns and traditional music. Service is held in our commons area with everyone seated around round tables while enjoying coffee and donuts. (Childcare is provided for ages birth - 5th grade through our SonTown Children's Ministry) Celebration Worship @ 9:30 & 11:00 am Sunday Morning is our celebration Worship is our regular worship service. These services are casual and you can come dressed in anything from your Sunday dress clothes to jeans and t-shirts while still feeling comfortable. The music is contemporary but not quite as fast and upbeat as the SNL and Reel 2 Real Services and be sure to come early and enjoy free coffee and donuts. Child care is provided for birth - 5th grade by our SonTown Children's Ministry Department during all services and Driven Youth (Youth Group ages 6th - 12th) meets during the 11:00 service. Reel 2 Real Church @ Cineport 10 Movie Theater @ 9:00 am on Sundays: Reel 2 Real Church is the newest addition to our weekly service line-up. R2R is a church plant, run by Mesilla Park Community Church, that meets weekly at the Cineport 10 Movie Theater in the Mesilla Valley Mall. The service is very modern and integrates a great deal of technology and videos. The worship team, who sings very contemporary (alternative-rock style) music is live, while the sermon is shown via video on the theater screen and is recorded the night before at the Saturday Night Life Service. Enjoy free donuts and Hope Coffee (delicious coffee that gives back to missionary organizations in Honduras) during the service. Childcare is provided for ages birth - 5th grade by our SonTown Children's Ministry.
