What to Expect
Leadership
Ken and Chrystal Hansen
Ken was elected as the Pastor of Living Water in January of 1992. When he came the vision was to help those in the congregation and community experience God in practical, relevant and powerful ways. Ken was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Ken graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri in 1984 with a major in Pastoral Ministries and Counseling. In 1992, Ken completed his Masters Degree in Biblical Studies from the Assemblies of God Theological School in Springfield, Missouri. After graduating from college in 1984, Ken married Chrystal and they moved to Akron, Ohio to lead the Youth and Christian Education departments at First Assembly. In January of 1987 they moved to Bethel Church in Rock Island, Illinois where they gave oversight to Youth and College Ministries until coming to Bolingbrook in 1992. Ken's strengths are his ability to communicate the Bible in fun, relevant, and practical ways, often using visual illustrations to communicate biblical truth. His gifts also include visioneering, leadership and the arts. Ken and Chrystal have three great kids, Ryan, Renee and Eric who are actively involved in the life of the church.Location & Directions
