Vaughn Sanders
Lead Teaching Pastor
I’m a native of St. Louis and a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies. I also have a Master’s in Information Systems Management specializing in Information Security. By trade I’m a Cyber Security Professional but have sensed the call to ministry from the time I professed my faith in Christ and was baptized in high school. I have been a member of First Baptist Bolingbrook since 2011 and served as Deacon before being called to the office of Elder in 2015 and then Lead Teaching Pastor in 2018. I am grateful to have found my passion and purpose in preaching and teaching God’s Word.
My wife Libby and I were married in 2000 while we were students at Mizzou. Together we have two children, Jonah and Jamiah. We enjoy our trips together as a family trying various food and restaurants. In my spare time you’ll find me trying to perfect my own technique on my grill and smoker at home.
