What to Expect

What are services like?
The services at Life Christian Church are guest welcoming and friendly. We worship from the heart with both hymns and lively contemporary music. We use an overhead screen with all the words to the songs. Our preaching is relevant and also from the heart. We are a Bible believing Church with Pentecostal worship with an Apostolic doctrine.

What is the community like?
The Church community at Life Christian Church is very warm and accepting. We try our best to be "doers of the word and not hearers only." You will find genuine Christians here. We have about 25 friendship groups that meet in many locations throughout the greater Lansing area. Some meet in Lansing; others in suburbs like Holt, Williamston, Vermontville, Howell, and etc.. Some are for specific groups: married couples, singles, college and careers, and etc. We are multicultural in demographics. We have Caucasian, Hispanic, and Black members; and several of international origins: Burmese, Chinese, Thai, Ethiopian, Puerto Rican, Nigerian, and etc. YOU will find a place to fit in at Life Christian Church!

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are not a Christian you are more than welcome at Life Christian Church! You will never be forced to do anything. We believe that you will be able to feel God's Spirit in our worship services.

Leadership

David Stephens

Pastor Stephens grew up in the Lansing area. He attended Everett High School, and graduated in 1971. He then attended Lansing Community College for two years; and went on to graduate from Michigan State University in the field of Social Work. Pastor Stephens was trained for the ministry by his father: Pastor Douglas Stephens of Grand Ledge. He also read many books on vital ministerial topics and met the Michigan District Board of the U.P.C.I. for an oral examination. He met this Board on three different occasions and was granted licenses for three levels of ministry: local, general, and ordination. Pastor Stephens worked as a Social Worker for the State of Michigan for six years. He worked in Ingham County in the capacity of an Emergency Services Worker, a Family Services Worker, and a Protective Services Worker for children. During this time he became the Pastor here. There were two or three adults that attended when he assumed the pastorate; and several children. The Church was first located at 601 S. Francis, then at 2045 W. Jolly Rd., and finally at 2560 Eaton Rapids Rd., Lansing, MI. He would very much like to get acquainted with you! Please stop by the Church or give him a call at 394-5433.
