What to Expect

What are services like?
We serve a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual population, and offer church services in both English and Spanish, with additional translation offered in Haitian Creole. We have 100-150 people at our services each week, from infants to octogenarians. When you visit with us, you’ll find: Preaching that recognizes the Bible as the basis & authority for all of life, Teaching that encourages inner growth through the power of the Holy Spirit, A simple style of classic hymn-singing intended to focus our worship on God, and Authentic fellowship with Christians who are sinners, saved by the grace of God through Jesus Christ.

What is the community like?
We are a church in Northeastern Pennsylvania in an area largely influenced by a history of coal mining. While our church was started in the 1960s, the community, subsequently the church, was primarily Caucasian in ethnicity. Since that time, our community has seen an explosion of ethnic diversity, and our church has opened our doors wide to welcome the newcomers. We offer Sunday worship services, small-groups, and children’s classes. Ideologically, we are a fusion of Baptist and Protestant Reformed. Our teaching is Bible-based and moderately conservative.
