I am delighted that you are considering joining us at one of our services. I trust that when you visit, you will be encouraged and blessed. I have served this wonderful congregation since 1994 (as Pastor since 1996). Allow me to tell you what to expect when you worship with us.

Fort Caroline Baptist Church is a place where you can come as you are to experience God in an exciting and personal way. You will find answers to life's tough questions. What to Expect

What are services like?
Services generally last about one hour. Our worship services are a time of exciting praise and meaningful worship. Our services include a Praise Band, Praise Team, soloists and ensembles. We have two large video screens which will have the words to all songs the congregation sings. (We encourage a "joyful noise".) There may be special announcements or features. Occasionally dramas and videos are presented. Our pastor gives Bible-based messages lasting about thirty minutes. His messages are practical and relevant to every-day life and are often sprinkled with appropriate humor. What is the community like?
Fort Caroline Baptist Church is a dynamic and creative multi-generational church in the East Arlington section of Jacksonville, Florida. The area surrounding Fort Caroline is comprised of both single and family households with an average age of 33 yrs. These households have an average of two children and their primary concerns in life are getting out of debt and increasing their skills as parents. Within five miles of the church there are approximately 147,000. Fort Caroline is taking the opportunity to be a living witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ in a relevant way in our community.

I transferred my membership from Piney Mtn. Baptist Church located in Asheville, N.C. in 1994. It too was a Baptist Church such is our Ft. Caroline Baptist. This church has always been loving, supportive and such a Family to us all. Pastor Rickey Powel is such a devoted Man of GOD and led so many of us to the Lord as well as community involvement to seek many "lost" beings and welcome them to our home. Lori and Becky plus others are so supportive of Church activities and to Ricky personally. We are truly BLESSED by GOD. Your Brother in Christ Tom Stone

I honestly can not put into words how much this amazing church has impacted my life. When I was in a depressed time of my life, these people that i call my second family were there to lead me to our Father. This body of believers truly have a heart for people. It doesn't matter where you come from or where you've been, this church is there to welcome you home with open arms! The way God has worked through our members is absolutely incredible. This isn't your ordinary Baptist church. There isn't a dress code. And this sounds so cheesy and cliche, but just come as you are! You're still one of God's beloved children no matter what you look like! The staff at Fort Caroline..... I could go on and on about them! I can't imagine being under the leadership of any Pastor other than Pastor Ricky. Well, except Jesus of course. But, the leadership of Fort Caroline have a beating heart for God, and it definitely shows. Big time! Honestly, I could go on and on for paragraphs talking about my amazing church!
