What to Expect

What are services like?
The services are a mix of traditional worship style and informal. We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of every month in with a lovely, sung setting.

What is the community like?
We have families of 4 generations in the church - members vary from 102 years old to 2 months old. Friendly, faithful, loving, and inclusive - that's who we strive to be.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We hope that through our service: its readings, hymns, the sermon and liturgy (which means: the work of the people) you might experience the Good News of Jesus Christ to all. We welcome all - and we mean it!

Leadership

Kazimierz Bem

A native of Poland and a former lawyer, graduate of Yale Divinity School (M.DIV 2010, S.T.M2012), Pastor Kaz has been with First Church in Marlborough since August 2011. He brings to us, a love for the Bible, liturgy and his contagious sense of humor. He is First Church's first openly gay pastor.
