What to Expect

What are services like?
Services at Rice are pretty traditional with a bit of time-tested contemporary music. We are not liturgical, but we enjoy worshiping the Lord together in a reverent way. Our music is piano only, with an occasional additional instrument.

What is the community like?
We are an older congregation, mainly empty-nesters. We have about 40 in the worship service every week. We love to meet visitors and newcomers.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are welcome to come if you are seeking to know more about Christ. If you are not a believer, you can expect to hear the truth. And someone from our church is always available to share what Christianity is.

Leadership

Stephen Georgeson

Born in Worcester in 1961 and lived in Clinton, MA most of my life. I went to Northeastern University and then did four years in the United States Air Force. Then I worked at The MITRE Corporation until 2006 when I became pastor at Rice. I was a member for about 13 years before being called as pastor. I preach from the Bible and am reformed in my theology. I live in Northborough with my wife (married in 1990). No kids, but we have three dogs that keep us busy.
