Emmanuel is one of the oldest known Black congregations in Durham County. Emmanuel dates back to 1880. It has always been coined as "The Little Church with the Big Heart where everybody is somebody and Christ is All". A warm, friendly, loving, faithful church...Emmanuel which means "GOD WITH US".

The services are spiritual and uplifting. The Word of God is preached with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the songs are sung to the Glory of God!

What is the community like?
Very friendly and warm.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Not being a Christian is your choice. We do not require you to be a Christian or Black to worship at Emmanuel. All are welcome!
