Description
We have traditional worship Sunday at 10 a.m. There is also a more contemporary service at 5 pm on Sunday evenings. We hold a Recovery Worship at 7 p.m. on the first and third Mondays each month.

We also encourage those seeking God to join one of our many small groups that meet together for mutual support and spiritual growth.

Community United Methodist Church is a community of followers of Jesus who seek to love God with our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We strive together to obey and serve God, to grow as disciples of Jesus, and to invite others into loving relationship with God. We provide the place and the means for all who desire deep meaning, purpose and connection for their lives. We invite all who are seeking a connection with God to come and journey with us.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Services are about an hour long, with music by a choir, and hymns sung by all. Sermons may be topical, seasonal, or biblical - all done with reverence and, often, a smile; designed to make one think about things that may have been overlooked in our busy lives. New folks are warmly greeted by members after the service, and invited to go downstairs for our coffee and conversation time.

What is the community like?
The church community is composed of folks from babies to grandparents; all great, friendly people who will greet you warmly and make you feel at home. You will be invited to join in our various group meetings, or just to receive our weekly emails if you'd prefer to know more about us. We also have an annual Blessing of the Animals for your pets, a Picnic in the Park, and the Pumpkin Patch. We do children's camps, Vacation Bible School, teen activities - not to mention assorted concerts such as our recent rockin' Country Christian concert, or serious concerts of a more operatic style. Our church is growing and embracing many styles of music and events that bring our members closer together.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We welcome everyone to join us, whether it be for one service or for a lifetime. If you are of a different faith or belief, and simply would like to attend a service to accompany a friend, or to learn more about a community Methodist church, you are absolutely welcome to come. Our members will be happy to chat with you should you have any questions about our church.
