Our Services

What are services like?
When you show up for a CBC meeting you will hear people talking and laughing. You will see leaders wearing jeans and their kids having a great time! You will see people sing and pray like they mean it, like it matters. Our City Kids Ministry offers a safe place for our kids to learn and have fun. Pastors Ben & Rebecca have two children and understand how it important that is! Your kids will have an activity at every Sunday meeting. Let’s Connect, Grow, & Share Life Together!

What is the community like?
Our vision for CBC Baltimore is that it be a church, serving Baltimore City, by helping people Connect, Grow, & Share in life-giving relationships with Jesus Christ and others. The goal of every church is to fulfill the “Great Commission” of Christ, leading people to Christ & making disciples of Jesus Christ. Yet every church has a unique DNA in how they accomplish those goals. Our goal is that our Ministry Approach be Scriptural and simple. We want people to find, in following Jesus, a shared life that works. Our heart is that people make time to love their family, serve our city, and enjoy life! Our Ministry Approach has been designed with that in mind. Weekend Worship We want to be better connected with God and with each other. That’s why we get together on the weekends for an experience we call “Weekend Worship”. We love to get into one room to sing, pray, and discuss how the Bible helps our daily life. We have a great set up for our kids! They have a fun place to learn. We screen the volunteers and provide a place you can feel comfortable. When we get together you will hear people say that there are, “no perfect people allowed”. That’s our way of saying that we all have a past and we all have a future hope in Jesus. So please come as you are. Dress the way you’re comfortable and leave that mask at home. We like to be real with each other. Family is great when there’s honesty. We don’t have it all figured out. Each of us came to a place of accepting the gift of grace in Jesus. We get together to celebrate it and learn more about it. Think about this: God didn’t wait until you were at your best to send Jesus. He knows who you are and what your life is like. We want to help you find the life giving love that we have found in Jesus. At City Bible Church Baltimore you will find people who enjoy real living by believing in Jesus. The weekend worship is a 90 minute experience that’s worth your time! We would love to see you there! Life Groups At City Bible Church Baltimore, we want to help you get connected with life giving relationships. You can be better connected with God and with other people. You may hear one of us say, “Nobody stands alone.” We believe that we are all wired for relationship. No one is designed to be lonely. You don’t have to be alone anymore. Each of us has a next step to take in growth. At City Bible Church Baltimore, we can introduce you to someone, or a group of people, who can help you take that next step. We have “Life Groups” who meet in homes for a variety of reasons. We’ll help you find the focus you’re looking for. You may find life-long friends or a small group that discuss a topic or a book for a few weeks. We grow together. Daily life is better. Our families, our work, and our homes are better as we grow in how we pray and how we learn from the Bible. We are thrilled to have Life Group Leaders who live in a variety of neighborhoods around the city. We would love to help you find a group that will work for you. Thankfully, none of our leaders have it all figured out. Each one knows what it means to need help. We believe that church is not an event to attend on the weekend. We believe that church works when we share life.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Please come. You will feel welcome. Nobody likes a busy signal. Not only does it tell you that your call did not go through, but also that you’re not going anywhere. No one wants to be disconnected. There is nothing but frustration in being disconnected. There is life in being connected. At City Bible Church Baltimore, we want to help you get connected with life giving relationships. You can be better connected with God and with other people. Each of us has been changed for the better through a personal relationship with Jesus. Every week we enjoy a full life in our relationships with Jesus and each other. We get together every weekend to be better connected with God and with each other. When we get together you will hear people say that there are, “no perfect people allowed”. That’s our way of saying that we all have a past and we all have a future hope in Jesus. You may also hear one of us say, “Nobody stands alone.” We believe that we are all wired for relationship. No one is designed to be alone. You don’t have to be lonely anymore. We would love to have you join us in a coffee shop, our homes, or at our weekend worship!

I’m forgiven, and honestly I think that’s the only thing that matters. The love, life, and forgiveness of Jesus Christ are the reason I am alive today. I live to love Jesus. I live to bring people to Him. This is resulting in a church being built, one family at a time. Rebecca, my wife of 16 years is beyond anything I ever dreamed. A wonderful mother to our two children: Charlotte and Gideon. The kids? They wreck me. I LOVE THEM!
