Who We Are

Connect to God, Each Other, and The World

A regional church, we draw from at least 5 counties in the Northern Virginia / Metro Washington, DC area. Commutes are long during the work week, so we try to connect on Sundays, and encourage each other throughout the week through small and medium-sized community groups.

Our Services

Service Times

Sunday
  • 09:15am - Celebration (Traditional) Service
  • 11:00am - Contemporary Service
Wednesday
  • 06:45pm - Midweek Manna

What to Expect

What are services like?
At 9:15 am, we offer a more traditional "celebration" service that is a mix of hymns and led by choir and orchestra. At 11:00 am, we offer a "contemporary" service that is led by a band and a few singers. The same sermon is preached during both services. Occasionally, our children or youth will lead a service! Visit our website at www.cbcva.org to view the most recent sermon, or find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/centrevillebaptist.

What is the community like?
Multiracial, multigenerational, multicultural... yet we all come together because of Jesus Christ's wonderful and amazing gift of salvation. We believe that our purpose on this is earth is to glorify God by making fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. We do that by connecting to God first, then to each other, and eventually, the whole world!

What if I'm not a Christian?
Please be our guest! We offer a group for teens and adults curious about Christianity at 9:15 am in room B6 (under the worship center) called Christianity 101. Not sure how to find the room? Stop by the Welcome Desk at the main entrance, and someone will escort you to the correct room.

Leadership

BIlly Ross

BIlly Ross

Born and raised in Tennessee. He came to know Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the age of six at Westwood Baptist Church in Nashville. After graduating from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, he became a CPA. He worked in the business world until God called him into full-time ministry. Since graduating from seminary in 1980, he has served churches in Alabama, Pennsylvania, New York, and Texas. Pastor Billy and his wife, Diane, have been married since 1980 and have two grown sons. Paul's admonition in Colossians 1:28 is his mandate in ministry: "We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ."
