Matt Rogers
Though Pastor Matt grew up in a pastor’s home, it was at the age of 13 that he had a true “born again” experience and came into a personal relationship with Jesus and by the age of 16, Matt knew God had called him to full-time ministry.
After serving in several different staff-pastor jobs, Matt and his wife Tiffany felt God leading them to turn down a great ministry opportunity and instead, help his parents plant a church in Newport News, VA. 3 1/2 years after launching the church, Pastor Don passed and Matt became the lead pastor. After leading the church for just over a year, God has caused the church to thrive with close to 100 people receiving Jesus, and a rapid growth in attendance. We truly believe this is only the beginning.
The heart of Pastor Matt’s ministry is for people to discover relationship with Jesus and live a life filled with the power of God.
After receiving an A.A. in Practical Ministry from Brownsville Revival School of Ministry, Matt received a B.S. in Church Ministry from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and is currently pursuing a M.A. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University.
