Zoar Lutheran Church

About Us

We are Lutheran Christians! What that means for us is that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is central, which is just what Martin Luther emphasized. The name "Lutheran" comes from the 16th century reformer, Martin Luther. He didn't intend to found a new church, nor did he choose the name "Lutheran". It was given to his followers by their opponents, and it stuck (so now we make the best of it!).

We proclaim the Good News of God's love and forgiveness through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We are part of a broken humanity, alienated from God and one another. But God comes to us in Jesus Christ, his Son, to heal and save and renew us...to show us the way of eternal life. The way you get in on that is by taking it on faith as God's gift and giving God some room to work in your life. You will hear a lot about Jesus in this church. He is at the center of our hopes for ourselves, humanity, and the world.

There's a place for you at Zoar!
