Mission: Sherwood Friends exists to share the hope and healing of Christ to help people become devoted followers of Jesus so they can live life to the full.
Life is a mixed bag, and we know the hard days don’t disappear just because we believe in Jesus.
We find comfort in the love of God expressed in the community of Christ; we hope in God’s promise that we will never be alone; we receive joy in the ways God blesses us; we have satisfaction in knowing to Whom we can turn to ask for help or give thanks.
We believe the biblical teaching that God has always desired this one thing: to love humankind and be in a relationship with us. We rejoice that God loves us so, and we celebrate the new life God gives us, which has been sealed in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
Sherwood Community Friends Church is people seeking to live in that new life now, ever growing, changing, welcoming, and serving the community in the name of Jesus. By our worship and hospitality, we are dedicated to announce God’s love for all.

Richard Miller
Rich Miller is our new pastor. He recently moved from Vancouver Washington where he has been working in the business sector for the last 7 years. Prior to his business career, Rich was a pastor in the Northwest Yearly Meeting, serving in Salem, OR (South Salem Friends Church, 1989-91); Tacoma, WA (Olympic View Friends, 1992-1997); and Vancouver, WA (Four Summits/New Day Community Churches, 1997-2005). Rich’s philosophy about life and ministry is to “love God and love people; that is the center of the mark!” (to quote a 4Him song). He is excited to be serving Sherwood Community Friends Church and looks forward to getting to know the congregation as well as getting involved in the greater-Sherwood community. Rich graduated from George Fox College in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and from Azusa Pacific University Graduate School of Theology in 1989 with an MDiv. degree. Rich is married to Nadine (27 years and counting!) and has three children: Bethany Miller-Headley, Kenton and Gerik Miller.Location & Directions
