Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship

About Us

Standing Firm on the Word of God Since 1929

Simply stated, we're a church - a group of people who love and follow Jesus. We're a community - a group of people with real lives and real problems. But, more than that, we're also are a group of people who believe Jesus when he said that he came to give us life - and life to the full. We worship and pray together, we study the Bible, and we're learning together what it means to be the kind of people God wants us to be. We love each other and we accept anyone who wants to join us on the journey of seeking God.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We have services at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. People wear what they feel comfortable in, (which ranges anywhere from “business casual” to jeans and a T-shirt) so please do the same! When you first arrive at one of our Sunday services, you’ll most likely be greeted at the door and given a weekly bulletin and a “Visitor’s Card.” We encourage you to fill out this card and put in the offering plate when it passes later on in the service. We use the information to let you know about upcoming events and programs. During our service, we read portions of the Bible, and sing songs of worship to God. Our pastor, John Dubois, endeavors to preach authentic, clear, accurate and practical messages centered on God and His Word (the Bible). “Sermon Notes for Young Disciples” are available (in the back of the auditorium) for kids to help them follow along during the message. We encourage you to take advantage of our Devotional Guides (available at the back of the auditorium). These guides are focused on the big idea of the message and guide you to related portions of the Bible to help you to apply the message to your life throughout the week. After the service, we invite you to exit through the back of the auditorium (which is actually the front of the church) and enjoy some refreshment in our “Fellowship Hall” downstairs. This is an ideal setting to get to know other families and individuals in our church. We encourage you to get to know us at your own pace. Don’t be surprised, however, if many people come to welcome you and introduce themselves! At 11:00 we have Sunday School for all ages. During Sunday School, each of the classes use different methods to discuss and cement the different aspects of the big idea of the sermon. If you are confused at where to go, or which age group your kids belong in, please feel free to ask!

What is the community like?

What if I'm not a Christian?
It can be intimidating to walk into an unfamiliar church for the first time. It’s hard to know where to go and what to expect. We understand that! At Wyoming Park Bible, we want you to feel comfortable and welcomed. We are all learning more about God together. A church is like a hospital -- there are a lot of sick and hurt people. None of us have it together yet, and we all need Jesus.
