Willow Grove Bible Church of the C&MA
Who We Are
“We’re your neighbors!”
Ken Barkley, Pastor
Ken served in the Navy as an air traffic controller at the Willow Grove Joint Reserve Base from 1973 - 1975. After a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ in 1974 he began to attend Willow Grove Bible Church and experienced a call to ministry. Ken completed training at Columbia International University and has served churches in Maryland and western Pennsylvania. Returning to Willow Grove Bible Church, this time as Pastor, Ken received a Master’s Degree at Biblical Theological Seminary, Hatfield, PA. Ken and Bea [raised in Willow Grove] have five children and five grandchildren. Ken says, “Our church is a small and friendly group of accepting people from diverse backgrounds. We believe that Jesus is the foundation upon which you can build your life.”
You are welcome here regardless of your past religious affiliations or experience.
We invite you to spend some time with us and see what we are all about.
We are...
Not salespeople…
nor running for office…
nor entering a popularity contest.
We have a spiritual responsibility to our neighbors and hope to serve you.
We don’t believe in forcing a church or denomination on anyone and we don’t promote “religion”.
We want to share a Person with you:
The Lord Jesus Christ

In Sunday School, there are a broad range of classes available for adults, youth and children. The curriculum is always Bible-based. The youth are studying the world-view of the believer; the adults are studying full books of the Bible. The children are taught the basics of the Bible and Christian living through song and familiar application.
[email protected]: the men of the church meet weekly on Tuesday at 8:30pm to share their lives and concern for their families, their church and the world.
Women’s Ministries: An integral part of the community of Willow Grove Bible Church, the women’s ministries provide opportunity for spiritual growth in several important areas. Our relationship to God and each other is the basis for our women’s Bible study and Alliance Women gives a worldwide focus, emphasizing global outreach and the support of missionaries.
Alliance Women meets one Saturday per month throughout the year. Various mission-based service projects are often part of our program: collecting pill bottles, rolling bandages and assembling packages to be sent overseas. A creative group, Alliance Women find all kinds
of ways to have fun while meeting: teas, picnics, brunch, a wedding or baby shower. An annual retreat is held in the Harrisburg area each year.
Check out our FRESH GROUND Coffee House! We are a non-religious coffee house featuring fantastic live music and an exclusive art show each month: FREE!
