Who We Are

White Rock United Holy Church is a member of the United Holy Church of America, Inc. We are a congregation of approximately 150 members who are committed to doing the work of the Lord. We have a very active youth and young adult ministry as well as music ministry. There is something for everyone to do at "The Rock".

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services provide an opportunity to praise God through praise and worship. Music provides variety including hymns and traditional gospel as well as contemporary and praise and worship. We have a performing arts ministry that ministers in dance, mime and drama. We believe in praising God with instruments including Hammond organ, keyboard, drums and tambourines. The Spirit is able to move freely and you may see people up dancing and shouting, weeping in praise and speaking in tongues. Our Pastor brings forth the Preached Word with power and authority.

What is the community like?
Our church community is made up of a variety of age groups from young parents, older and more mature adults; widows; widowers; small children; college students; professionals; blue collar workers; retired individuals.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We demonstrate the love of God and invite you to come and learn more about Him so that you too can develop a relationship with HIm.

Leadership

David Henderson

Elder David Henderson has served as our Pastor since September, 2003. He is originally from Lexington, NC and has over 17 years of pastoral experience. Pastor Henderson strongly promotes the family, is a champion for academic excellence and desires to create a youth center that will meet the spiritual, social, and educational needs of our youth. He would also like to construct a Family Life Center that will serve our entire community, with a special emphasis on meeting the needs of our senior citizens, youth and the family. Elder Henderson recently retired from the NC Forestry Service where he served as a Forest Ranger. In his retirement , Pastor Henderson plans to revitalize all areas of his ministry with the support of his church family at White Rock.
