What to Expect

What are services like?
Our Sunday morning gatherings are designed to reflect Biblical principles like prayer, expressing adoration for God through music, preaching and teaching the Bible, remembering Jesus through communion, and connecting with others in community. During our Sunday morning gathering, children of Westside Community families are cared for and taught about Jesus. The WSC Kids' Community is available for babies, toddlers, and kids up to 5th grade. My name is Ben, I’m the pastor at Westside Community in Santa Cruz, CA. I preach on Sundays and continually seek Jesus’ vision for this church community. I’m in love with my wife Kelly, my son Luke, and my daughter Magnolia-Sunshine. I became a follower of Jesus during Grateful Dead summer tour 1993. I’m passionate about the furtherance of the Gospel and the glory of Jesus Christ in Santa Cruz. I also love surfing, baseball, running, and music.
