About Us
A spiritual force in the community since 1853, Wesley Chapel is the oldest African-American Methodist church in Arkansas, and is responsible for the establishment of Philander Smith College (originally Walden Seminary), with which it maintains a strong relationship.
Services are Bible-based and spirit-filled, with the 8:00 service including more traditional music and the sanctuary choir leading more contemporary music. Children's Church is open during the 10:45 a.m. service.
