Leadership
David Bringman
David Bringman is pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. He grew up in a small town in Central Pennsylvania and went to Penn State University. He was involved with leadership in a Christian outreach organization, Young Life, where he met his wife, Linda. He graduated from Gettysburg Seminary in 1979 and later received his Doctor of Ministry degree in Chicago. Dave has served congregations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Nebraska before being called in 2005 to Trinity Lutheran Church in Alameda. He has been director of a church camp, a hospice chaplain, and the host of a children’s television program. He reads everything by Marcus Borg, Mark Allen Powell, John Spong, Lee Child, Vince Flynn and Robert Parker. He rides his bicycle 25-30 miles per week, hikes the trails of the bay-area, works on cars and computers, and plays a number of musical instruments (piano, guitar, stand-up bass). Dave and Linda have two grown daughters and a son-in-law living in Chicago and Washington D.C.Location & Directions
