About Us

Messiah is a small, welcoming Church that is always happy to have visitors. We follow a traditional order of service using Lutheran Service Book. We seek to challenge our members into a greater depth of faith, piety, and study of God's Word. Our sermons aim to exposit the whole counsel of God throughout the year "That the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" (2 Ti 3:17 ESV). Our entire Divine Service, sermon included, focuses our whole heart and mind on the work that Christ has done for us in His death on the cross and resurrection to new life.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Services follow a traditional order. We use Divine Service Setting 3 from Lutheran Service Book. On Sundays the service is chanted (sung). Wednesdays follow an abbreviated order of service. For our guests' and members' ease of use, the whole order of service is printed out in bulletins. Guests are invited to come as they are and participate in the service as they feel comfortable to do so.

What is the community like?
Our congregation is welcoming and kind. We always love to see visitors. It is especially our great joy to hear noisy children in the pews! We love to see them in Church with us, but don't be surprised if some of our members try to spoil them a little.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are exploring the Christian faith, we can say nothing other than, come and see! Join us as we develop in our faith walk together. We are all on a journey and none of us have quite arrived at the destination yet. Even so, we trust in Christ to lead us there.
