What to Expect

What are services like?
t Saint Peter’s, worship is rooted in the Episcopal tradition: scripture, prayer, music, silence, movement, and Holy Communion. Some parts may feel familiar. Others may feel new. You do not need to know every response or understand every moment before you arrive. We will help you follow along. You are welcome to participate as you feel comfortable: standing, sitting, kneeling, singing, listening, praying, receiving Communion, or simply receiving a blessing.

What is the community like?
Saint Peter's has always been a community of imperfect people — that's been true since 1961 when our founders named us after a disciple who denied Jesus three times. We still claim that name proudly. If you're looking for a place that takes faith seriously without pretending to have it all figured out and where you can make mistakes and still be part of the family, this might be your home.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We welcome people who aIf you're not a Christian — if you're exploring for the first time, skeptical, spiritual-but-not-religious, or somewhere you can't quite name — that's not an obstacle to being here. It's actually a pretty good place to start. We named ourselves after Peter, a disciple who got it wrong more than once, who denied Jesus at the moment it mattered most. We still claim that name proudly. This is a community that takes faith seriously without pretending to have it all figured out. You don't have to have it figured out either. Come on a Sunday. Participate as much or as little as feels right. Ask questions. Stay for a conversation. There is no test to pass before you arrive, and no threshold of belief required to walk through the door.re
