Who We Are

St. Paul's is a church rich in diversity, warm and welcoming to all people, and a place where you will find a home - just as countless others have been calling this parish home for more than 150 years! Though we've been around for a long time, we are always being made new - through the beauty of worship, through the contagious joy of the children of the parish, and through our outreach to Jersey City's McGinley Square neighborhood and the world at large. The heart of our life together is uncovered through our worship on Sunday mornings. There are two services each Sunday during the school year - each unique in their approach, but both heartfelt in their commitment. The earlier service - at 8:00 am - is small, quiet, and contemplative. It uses the traditional, Elizabethan language of our Anglican heritage, but remains relevant to the lives of those present through the sermons of our priests and the community that is formed. The later service - at 11:00 am - is a festive celebration of faith with music, choirs, and good friends! It uses more contemporary language, but always with a thoughtful eye to the ancient traditions of the church. During the summer, there is one service at 10:00 am. It is a bit more casual and relaxed. Whichever service you choose, you are sure to find a welcoming community of Christians who are eager to make you feel right at home!
