About Us

St. Paul's by-the Sea Episcopal Church located on 3rd St., Ocean City, MD 21842 offers 17 stained glass windows most of which are one story tall.
In the parish DeWees hall there is a Labyrinth inlay in the floor that measures 32 feet in circumference. It is available to anyone who wishes to take the Labyrinth journey during the day by appointment 410-289-3453 or every Wednesday beginning July 15th thru September 30th at 7pm for a candle light Labyrinth walk ceremony.
St. Paul's also sponsors the Shepherds Crook ministry which is currently located at 205 S. Baltimore Ave. in Ocean City. The Shepherds Crook is open from 10 to Noon on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday distributing free canned goods and clothing to the needy. On Saturday there is also a free lunch provided by the NOEL group.
Another community ministry sponsored by St. Paul's is The Red Doors Community Center. This community program specializes in offering children, family, educational, and adult programs throughout the year. What to Expect

What are services like?
The Sunday 9am service usually lasts about 45min. The choir and parishioners will sing several traditional hymns during the service. There is a children’s ministry available during the service. After the service all are invited for coffee and sweets in the adjacent parish DeWees hall.

What is the community like?
During the off season at the shore in Ocean City the church attendance is between 40 and 50 local worshipers. However during the season the Sunday attendance could swell to between 60 or 70 people.

What if I'm not a Christian?
St. Paul’s provides a Sunday service bulletin so that anyone can follow the service proceedings, along with hymnal and common prayer books. The bulletin also includes an announcement page that explains what the upcoming parish and community events are for the month.
