St. Matthias Episcopal Church

We are a medium size church with average Sunday attendance of about 200. We have an active laity with many, many parishioners sharing the load, working on commissions and volunteering to take part in a huge array of activities. Outreach is a big part of our ministry, with annual Outreach contributions of over $50,000, comprising more than 10% of our annual operating budget. In addition, parishioners contribute their time and talent freely. We stress hospitality and inclusiveness, welcoming everyone who seeks a closer walk with Christ in a warm community and we have approved the use of the Rite of Blessing Lifelong Covenants for same gender couples. We offer two bible study groups (Kerygma), book groups, a men's group, Stephen Ministry, choirs, handbell choir, and have an active youth program. In a recent parish profile study, the word used most to describe St Matthias was "family". Join us!
