About Us

Remember, God Loves you!

If you are interested in joining us for Sunday worship, all you need to do is show up. Just as you are, no need to fuss. Some folks come in jackets and dresses, others in shorts and t-shirts. Some are lifelong Lutherans while others are not sure what they believe. We have seekers, spiritual and not religious, people that know all the motions, and some that are not even sure of what Christians do. Learn more about St. Luke and our mission to Collegetown, Ithaca, and the world. If you are looking for a church home, we hope to be that place for you, if you are just passing through we wish you Godspeed on your journey.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Liturgically Lutheran - inclusive of all. There is a newly installed playground for young children and their parents/guardians in the front of the sanctuary so they are fully included in the liturgy.

What is the community like?
As a Reconciling in Christ Congregation, the people of St. Luke Lutheran Church are called by God to be a community of Christians, a part of the body of Christ. Because we believe we are one in God’s eyes, we welcome the mix of ages, races, gender identities, physical and mental capabilities, and sexual orientations with which God’s children are blessed. Everyone is invited to share in God’s grace. We rejoice in the knowledge that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus–not our wealth, nor our poverty, nor our nationality, nor our political convictions, nor whom we love, nor anything else in all creation. We are called to follow God’s mission of reconciliation and justice with all humanity, and we celebrate our journey of discipleship with a special appreciation for the privileged responsibility of our campus related ministry.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are most welcome. We have individuals that are seeking to learn more about Christianity. There are no requirements for you to have a particular faith conversion ... questions are encouraged. We are here all to learn and grow together.
