St. John's is affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. As we were established nearly 25 years before Madrid was incorporated, we have very deep roots in the community. We are committed to our community and participate in service and ecumenical projects as well as opening our doors to organizations, both youth and adult, for meetings and activities. We welcome all who would be part of our worship or part of our congregation.

Roger OlsonJust wanted to let you know that your former Pastor (Delmar Carlson] passed away Saturday morning. He was the minister there when we visited our grandfather (C.J.Cederquist). Greenwood funeral (Cherokee Iowa) is in charge of the arrangements.
