Who We Are

It is a pleasure to welcome you to St. Francis Episcopal Church. St. Francis is a special community of individuals and families who come together to further the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven through proclaiming the Word and participating in Sacramental living. Our vision is to be a living memory of Jesus through acts of simplicity, compassion, and hope. We offer a loving, supportive, and welcoming environment for people of all backgrounds and interests. On behalf of our members and the Church leaders, we are very delighted that you are considering St. Francis as a church home.

St. Francis has a strong history, beginning with our start as a mission to the northwest portion of Greensboro from the downtown congregation of Holy Trinity in 1954. We have grown into a congregation known for its strong music and youth programs, Annual Book Sale, vibrant Day School, beautiful campus, commitment to Outreach, exceptional clergy and staff, and strong leadership and energy of our members. We are poised for an exciting and wonderful future. As we combine the talents and enthusiasm of our members and our committed staff, we make ourselves ready for the future God intends. Together, we have the opportunity to accomplish that which alone we could not do.
