St. Andrew's Episcopal Church

About Us
We gladly welcome you to our church home, trusting that if you are seeking Christ, you will find him here. We strive to be an active force for good in our community, while also nurturing the spiritual growth of each individual.
We have three services on Sunday morning:
8:00 Our most traditional service
9:15 "Come and See" a less formal service with creative liturgy and music
10:30 A Prayer Book service in modern English, with choir and traditional hymns
Also at 10:30 Children's Chapel with activities and worship designed especially for our youngest parishioners.
The youth of the parish have many opportunities for growth, fellowship, and service, led by a full time Youth Director. Our Youth Group for Middle and High School students meets weekly for fellowship, formation, and fun, and participates in a number of service projects annually, both locally and at various mission locations. Acolytes are a vital part of all services and an opportunity for service for youth in grades 3 through 12.
Music is a priority and infuses our services joy and depth. Under the direction of a full-time Minister of Music, we enjoy adult and youth choirs, as well hand bell and guitar choirs.
One of the most important group of ministries of St. Andrew's is our outreach to the hungry and homeless of Newport News and beyond and our mission support to locations such as the Holy Cross Anglican School in Belize.
St. Andrew’s Day School
St. Andrew’s has a fully accredited day school that has been offering quality education to boys and girls, from preschool through 5th grade for over sixty years. We welcome children of all faiths who seek to grow in mind, body and spirit. Our rigorous academic program challenges students who leave us fully prepared for the next level of education.
