What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services are following the russian orthodox tradition. However our services are all in English. The Saturday night Vigil is normally a service that lasts about 2.5 hours. The Sunday morning service is done normally shortly before noon. The normal posture in our service is standing. However people that are not able to stand for that long time, out of illness or if they are not used to this, are welcome to sit on the benches at the perimeter of the church. We ask if physical possible that you please stand during the proclamation of the Gospel and during the distribution of communion. We have a communal meal after our Sunday service which everyone is welcome to.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We welcome every visitor. Questions you might have are welcomed after the services. Only Baptized and Chrismated Orthodox Christians who have prepared by fasting, prayer, and recent confession may receive communion at SS. Sergius and Herman.
