About Us
The vision of South Community Church is simple, we are all about "connecting people to God and each other through genuine community". SCC was founded on the inspiration that community is the lifeblood of human beings and it's a gift God has given us. Yeah we know it's not a new concept, just a concept we all have wired in our DNA. Jesus wanted community for us and we at South Community Church desire community for each and every one of you. That's every age group finding like minded and like hearted people to grow old with. South Community Church will be extremely intentional about finding community for each person that comes through our doors.
But not only that, we believe that within this community we’re challenged to live a Spirit filled life. How do we know? 1 John 3:24 says, “Those who obey His commands live in Him, and He in them. And this is how we know that He lives in us: We know it by the Spirit He gave us.” That’s why we’re so excited! The Savior Jesus gave us His Spirit to live a life that’s joyful and exhilarating, not routinely average.
We believe that when Jesus ascended into heaven, the Holy Spirit is what He left us. That's the bottom line. And all too often we don't live with that power, that wisdom, that guidance, and that comfort! It's time for us as God's children to realize the power that was left for us.

Leadership
Kenny Davis
Kenny Davis is the Lead Pastor at South Community Church. Kenny is married to Kristy (an RN and is definitely the better half), and they love two son's, Tyrus and Trey. They have been married since 2003 and are oh so happy! Kenny has been in church ministry for over 14 years. he started in Student Ministry full-time and has helped build several overall church growth programs and facilitated a number of outreach programs for the local church. Kenny was in full-time ministry at St. Andrews UMC in South OKC from 1997-2003, until he took on a ministry opportunity in South Tulsa at St. James UMC from 2003-2010. With over 14 years of pastoral ministry experience, communicating the Truth of God's Word, creating experiences to reach the lost, and flat out just loving people, Kenny feels excited about the challenge and opportunity God has placed in his path as a Lead Pastor and welcomes one and all to the creative, yet uncompromising message of God's Truth and the community He has for us.Location & Directions
